Personal Safety & Self-Defense Instructor Training
Personal Safety training focuses on educating the mind – providing information that should provide better decision-making before, during, and after potential or real conflict or violent situations.
Self-Defense Physical Skills Training provides the opportunity to learn, practice, and improve the skills necessary for situations when physical self-defense is necessary. This training does not make a person invincible! Individuals, through the training experience, discover what their potential abilities and capabilities are if confronted with potential violence. This newly discovered knowledge and awareness can improve the decision-making process if confronted with a potentially violent situation.
Who can become a Certified Personal Safety & Self-Defense Instructor?
Fitness Professionals
· CEC/CEU approved – NETA, ACE, & WITS for 20 hours &
NASM for 19 hours:
· Physical Education Professionals (apply for CPDU)
· Law Enforcement Professionals
· Military Personnel

· Basic stance/positioning/distancing concepts, striking, blocking & evasion techniques

· About the “Adrenaline Rush” and how it impacts physical and mental performance
· Primary and secondary targets for each strike
· How to use various body parts that can be used as weapons
· What “weapons” exist in your everyday environment
· Loosening techniques for various holds/grabs (bear hug, choke, hammer lock, head lock, hair grab, and more)
· Weapon attack strategies and techniques (firearm, bladed weapon, club-weapon)
· Physical, emotional, and mental skills required before, during and after a weapon attack
· Specific fitness/conditioning training to maximize physical self-defense skill performance
· Self Defense Class & Program Design – Learn:
· How to design, implement and facilitate a self-defense class and program
Course Exams
· The course is divided into 4 sections
· Each section has an exam – a score of 80% or higher on each exam is required to pass
· Participants who successfully complete all 4 exams will receive a CEC/CEU certificate of completion
